Saturday marked the second day of Cards for a Cause in support of the Ronald McDonald House Charities - Madison (RMHC). There were 20 guests present in total for the day of creativity!
In all, there was $650 raised for the RMHC; $450 from Saturday alone, $200 from AWA night. This included guests of the day, cards "to go" and card kits donated to the house toy room.
We can't thank participants enough for the support of this great cause! Guests were greeted with their cards, decorated water bottles and this special "pillow gift."
The house has a great activity room. Typically, it is filled with puzzles, games and crafts.
We added a little "pizz-azz" with banners, gifts and cards from Stampin' Up! materials.
Kayte (right) is a stamper who shared her story. Her family was once in need of the housing and support of the RMHC.
Like many of the house guests, she was very appreciative of the staff and volunteers that were there to support her family.
After introductions, the donation checks were presented to RMHC-Madison.
Here I am, presenting the AWA donation.
Shirley presented the day's donation to the house.
Such a pretty card!
Fundraiser participants were also treated to a tour of the house. It has many guest rooms, lounges, activity rooms and a double kitchen. Service dogs visit regularly, a hot meal is provided to families every night and it's walking distance to the children's hospital. More fun was had by all. Take a look for yourself in the slideshow below!
Thanks again for your support! Look for the event details in preparation for next year!
